This is a micro scale model of Helm’s Deep, a major piece of architecture from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, appearing in the Two Towers. This is the fortress of king Theoden, the place where the Rohirrim fled from the forces of Saruman. It took two days to build, and probably contains about 500 pieces.
The original LOTR and Hobbit line did produce a Helm’s deep, but the layout was not quite as realistic, as it was built for playability and not as a display model. This version includes some rock work, and is an adequate display model for a Lego Ideas set.
