"Hey hey hey! I'm smarter than the average bear!"
Hey, everybody! ChirpyShawl039 here with a special set idea based on an animation legend: Yogi Bear. Created by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera in 1958, the series was an instant success and lasted until 1962; the series took place in Jellystone National Park, USA, and centered on the kooky misadventures of a "smarter-than-average" but cocky brown bear named Yogi. Yogi would usually run around the park stealing human food from the visitors, despite his best bear buddy Boo Boo's attempts to talk him out of it, and always assured himself that he was smart enough to make his wacky schemes play out without a hitch; not even getting busted by the strict Ranger Smith would deter the ever-resilient Yogi.
This set depicts the cave where Yogi and Boo Boo live as roommates. This roomy cave contains not only all the amenities an American bear could ask for (including pic-a-nic baskets full of food), but also comes with a tree on the roof with a beehive (dripping with honey), a mailbox for all that fan-type fan mail, and a variety of Easter eggs from both the original show and the 2010 feature film.
Also included are:
  • Brick-built figures of Yogi and Boo Boo
  • 2 minifigures: Ranger Smith and Rachel Johnson
  • A turtle piece for Boo Boo's frogmouth turtle
I submitted this idea out of a childhood fondness for Yogi Bear; as a little kid I absolutely loved the show, and it continues to bring me joy and nostalgia whenever I watch it. Furthermore, Lego sets based on Hanna-Barbera IPs have a surprising level of marketing potential; after all, @AndrewClark2's Flintstones idea was released in 2019, while there was an entire Scooby-Doo! theme released in 2015.
I hope y'all like this, and I am really grateful for your consideration.
