Saab 96 Rally - Speed Champion

Saab 96 was a Swedish car produced from 1960 to 1980 and was in its haydays a successful rally car winning several RAC, Monte Carlo, and Swedish rallies. It featured an aerodynamic body simliar to its predecessor Saab 93. It was front wheel drive, initially powered by a 3 cylinder two-stroke engine and came with an unusual free wheel drivetrain.

My family had one when I was a kid and I have always liked this small and somewhat odd car. This model is intended as a Speed Champion car, but intentionally only 6 studs wide as the Saab is a small car. It was a bit tricky to get the round body shape look ok, but I think this models shows it's doable and therefore could be a cool but odd addition to the Speed Champions theme, as a typical Saab should be.
