Welcome to the human kingdom of Katolis, with its magnificent castle, filled with adventure, magic, and jelly tarts! It is where the epic tale of Ezran, Callum, Rayla, and their friends begins, which makes it a perfect first Lego set based on the Dragon Prince TV show! Because most major players in the story have visited the location at some point during the show their minifigures can be included, without spoiling too much of the story, which is definitely worth watching unspoiled!
The castle is massive, so I decided to build it as small as possible, this way I could build the whole castle without surpassing the Lego Ideas 3000-piece limit! This should create a more engaging building experience because every piece is deliberately chosen, but more importantly, it makes it more affordable to purchase! And the size difference allows us to imagine that the characters got turned into giants by some magic gone awry! My goal was to faithfully recreate the layout of the castle using any screenshot I could make watching the show and early concept art to fill in the blanks!
The set includes:
- The Castle in all its shrunken glory.
- The group of young adventurers Ezran, Callum, and Rayla.
- Bait, Ezrans pet
- The High mage of Katolis Viren and his two children Soren and Claudia.
- Zym the dragon from the moment he "visited" Katolis.
- The Dragons Zubeia and Pyrrah at microscale from the “visit” (Season 4).
The set currently consists of 1630 parts.
