This is a model of a jet plane, which could be used for air shows. The model has been made at minifigure scale and has about 1200 parts. It has elevators, which can be moved into different orientations, a cockpit that can be opened and closed and landing gear that can be extended and retracted. It has a standard, so it can be displayed in flying position. The model is quite robust, so on top of it having a lot of display value, it can also be played with.
I built this model because I like building models with aerospace themes. For this particular model, I was inspired by the Concorde set as well as an earlier Lego set of a jet. Aspects of both of these sets can be seen in this model. The display and the retractable gear were inspired by the Concorde and the colour palette and general design are based on the jet plane set.
I believe that this set will be a great addition to the existing Lego catalogue, because it fits nicely with other Lego planes, such as the Concorde, the jet plane, the Sopwith Camel, and others. On top of that, the model having 1200 parts will give it a great display size, and the playability makes it suitable for all ages. I hope that this idea makes it to 10.000 votes, so it can be made into and actual set!
