Dexter's Laboratory: Robo-Dexo 2000

Take a trip back to 1996, when Cartoon Network debuted their first-ever original TV series, Dexter's Laboratory! Created by the one and only Genndy Tartakovsky, Dexter's Laboratory is centered on a boy genius named Dexter, who has massive intelligence and a top-secret laboratory hidden within his suburban home. Unfortunately, however, his happy-go-lucky older sister, Dee Dee, always finds a way to enter Dexter's secret lab and ruins his beloved experiments! Now you can help make Dexter's iconic giant robot, Robo-Dexo 2000, a real LEGO set!

Robo-Dexo 2000 is one of Dexter's most prized inventions and is used for saving the world from giant monsters, alien invasions, and even incoming asteroids that could destroy the Earth. The reason why I picked Robo-Dexo 2000 is because I view it as a very good candidate for a potentially successful product idea based on Dexter's Laboratory. And besides, who doesn't love giant robots?

Robo-Dexo 2000 also features quite a lot of articulation in its body, in addition to incredible features such as a cockpit in its head to put Dexter in (although Dexter's legs would need to be removed), a detachable torso compartment to reveal its energy core, and its PEZ Missiles as seen in the episode, "Last But Not Beast"! In order to apply the PEZ Missiles accessory, the mech’s head must be removed so you can attach the missile rack to the neck base, and then you mount the robot’s head onto the PEZ missile rack.

Along with Dexter, this concept also includes his silly older sister, Dee Dee! The reason why I decided to made Dee Dee a mini doll (like you see in the Friends theme) with a brick-built head instead of a standard minifigure is because I felt that a normal minifigure torso would be too stout for her slim body. And who knows? I might add more characters in project updates.

The reason why I decided to create this product idea is because Cartoon Network continues to produce new Dexter's Laboratory merchandise nowadays, so why not an official LEGO building set? After all, LEGO seems to have a good relationship with Cartoon Network. Please feel free to support and share my project! Together, we can make this scientific creation a reality!
