Stardew Valley is an open-ended farming sim in a pixelated 2D style that first came out in 2016, and just celebrated its 7th anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Seven years later, the game is still hugely popular with players logging in hundreds of hours and even creating mods to alter the gameplay.

The game
A good chunk of your time is spent on a dilapidated farm you inherited from your grandfather who recently passed away but you also explore the town and its surroundings. There are dozens of characters to interact with and quests to complete.

The game isn't just about farming though, but building relationships with the villagers and becoming part of the community.

I love a good sim, and country life looks appealing to me, so Stardew Valley checks those boxes. I recently saw a LEGO version of a character sprite and thought about making one for my farmer too. But I deviated from that quickly and built the farmhouse from the early stages of the game instead.

Building the farmhouse
Since we only ever see the farm from one view, I thought it would be fun to create a complete model out of LEGO bricks. The farm itself takes up a few screens in the game so I added just a few summer crops including Stardew Valley's fictional starfruit to keep the footprint of the model manageable.

There are lots of game items sprinkled throughout the model that fans of the game will instantly recognize like the blue chicken, iridium watering can, and void mayonnaise. Other items are tucked away to be discovered in the build.

The interior is furnished close to what the house looks like when you inherit it with a small bed, table, chair, TV, and a fireplace. I added a Light Brick behind the fireplace so you can turn it on like in the game.

Minifigures
Characters and relationships are really important in the game so I made 6 of the villagers in minifigure form for this set: Sebastian, Elliot, Abigail, Haley, Alex, and Leah.

And since the player is customizable, I've included another head and hair piece for the farmer but kept the default outfit.

A detailed LEGO set for fans of Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley was an instant hit when it was released for PC and became so popular that it was ported to Xbox One, Playstation 4, Playstation VITA, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. Over 20 million copies of the game have been sold since March 2022.

The farmhouse is iconic for Stardew Valley fans, so a LEGO version of it where you can change up the crops, rearrange the interiors, and just build whatever you want at your own pace is perfect.

Fans like myself are invested in the characters too so getting them in minifigure form would be amazing!

Let me know your thoughts about the set. I'm especially keen to add a couple of Easter Eggs.
