The song “Virtual Insanity” is a song by the British funk band Jamiroquai, released on August 19, 1996, as the second single from their third studio album “Travelling Without Moving”. The music video (MV) for this song is the most famous of Jamiroquai, directed by British film producer, director, and screenwriter Jonathan Glazer.
My creative design point: Moving Room: In the MV, the band’s lead singer Jay Kay dances and performs this song in a bright white room. The room only has a few sets of sofas and chairs, which are also the only furniture in the space. This film is famous for its special effects, where the floor and furniture will start moving with the song, but the walls and other parts of the room remain unchanged. I hope to achieve this highly creative effect through Lego parts.
This MV received 10 nominations at the 1997 MTV Music Video Awards and won four awards, including “Breakthrough Music Video” and “Best Music Video of the Year”. This MV has been highly praised for many years after its release due to its innovative and unique visual effects. This is in line with Lego’s emphasis on creativity.
