Canary in the Cage

My friend recently got a canary. And then another. And another. When he met one of the breeders, the canaries were being housed for transport in what's referred to as a training cage. It was wooden, likely handcrafted and reminded me of something found in the antique shop where Gizmo was sold - a place just filled with curiosities that have a bit of magic and wonder.

That was all the motivation I needed. It struck me almost immediately. Make a canary in a training cage with that same appeal.

Of course, an avid bird lover and advocate, this would be double satisfactory. Curiouser and curiouser.

The build was actually a quick one, driven by inspiration and joy of the subject. I made a duplicate model for my canary-lover friend as well.

But I thought, "It would be great for all bird lovers that share this curiosity to have one too!"
