Where The Wild Things Are: Max and Carol
The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about this characters is the Wii videogame... why? Because I have played that videogame A LOT. If I were to go back to it now, maybe I wouldn't see it with the same eyes, but I LOVE it. It's a part of my childhood.
I didn't get to know the movie until I was in high school and when I saw it for the first time, I was in shock, the movie was not like the game, but... it was still perfect. The main theme of the movie is about growing up. Max is quite irresponsible and behaves like a bit of an animal. The picture really is about him getting to know someone who doesn't either want to grow up, Carol, the big (not so scary) monster.
I build a lot with Lego, A LOT, I'm almost always building something. Given that I'm now studying at University, I appreciate building a lot more because I can't do it as often. One of the things I started working on a while ago was Carol, I wanted to capture his essence, his sadness and I hope this build has achieved that goal. Of course, there's no Carol without Max (literally, please watch the movie 🙂), so I made him to go along with his friendly monster.
They're around 800 pieces all together.
Of course, I want this project to succeed, but I know the movie isn't as well known as to give it that extra boost, but if it doesn't get to 10k, at least I hope the people who support it watch the hidden masterpiece that Where The Wild Things Are is. Thanks for reading this and thanks to all my supporters!
