Classic Space Mobile Command Base

The Mobile Command Base (MCB) is the first step in planetary colonisation and the first to land once the scouting parties are finished. The MCB can be deployed anywhere and its sturdy wheelbase will plough through the toughest of terrain. The MCB was designed to establish a preliminary base while drop ships set about the task of building an outpost. Generously equipped, the MCB provides everything a starter colony needs.

Features:
  • Giant deployable satellite array capable of transferring large packets of data to a colony starship.
  • Rugged go-anywhere design
  • Spacious piloting cabin with a dome glass to give pilots maximum view
  • Science and communication station
  • Deployable single-seat exploration vehicle that can be transported inside the MCB

I have always had a soft-spot for Lego Classic Space - It was the Lego of choice when I was a child and I spent countless hours building all manner of space craft to explore my childhood home. After a long period of no-lego I picked the hobby back up a few years ago and started my hunt for vintage Lego. I’ve built a number of Classic Space themed vehicles and bases now and I knew I wanted to build a large rover of some kind - something big enough to have a command centre inside, but also with enough space in the back to hold an entire small rover.

I believe this would be a great set for purchase, it’s large and versatile with a great deal of play-ability. It’s sturdy (to survive indoor space exploration!) and the hinged middle section means you can drive it around easily!

Thanks for reading, I hope you like the model and would love your support if you like this vehicle as much as me!
