Germany, Weimar 1923, Germany, Weimar.

What is it?
This house is the first Bauhaus in the world. It was built in 1923 by the Bauhaus school "founded by Walter Gropius in 1919". It served as a model house for the world's first Bauhaus exhibition in the founding city of Weimar. In this house it was presented for the first time how the masters and students of the Bauhaus imagined the future and what it could be like. It was the first and only Bauhaus project to be realized by the Bauhaus school in the founding city of Weimar.

Why am I building it?
I am a Bauhaus fan and it was my great pleasure to build this house as it represents an important point in Bauhaus history. It turned 100 this year and looks young as if it was made yesterday.
The special thing about this house are the rooms. The living room is in the middle of the house and is 6x6 meters in size. All other rooms are around the living room and are relatively small.
Despite the small footprint of 12.7x12.7 meters, the house has everything you need. It has 2 toilets, one room for the lady, one rome for the man, one roome for the kid, it has an interior hallway and even a guest room. Since the hallway has no windows, it is supplied with daylight by two skylights in the roof.
Uups! I forgot the dining room and living room alcove. I had to build it. There are even built-in closets known from Bauhaus. When building the house, I followed the original floor plan to build it as original as possible.

Since the house is very spartan, I added a few matching highlights. The living room has received a ceiling lamp by Walter Gropius. The cupboard in the living room was built by Marcel Breuer and the mosaic floor in the living room follows the pattern of the carpet from Walter Gropius in his office in the Bauhaus school from 1923. The living room alcove originally contained a desk. At the point I have placed a beautiful standing desk in the Bauhaus style.

Why Lego should build the set.
The Bauhaus school only existed for 13 years. And yet Bauhaus has revolutionized the whole world to this day, more so than any other style. And this small house is the beginning, the beginning of the Bauhaus style, above all, with its unique architectural style to this day.
It is and remains the only and first Bauhaus in the world.
