Though The Lego Group produces numerous sets based on popular movies/books (such as Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes, DC Comic Superheroes, and Pirates of the Caribbean), they have not yet produced a set based on The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, by C. S. Lewis. This book, now a major motion picture, is part of the Chronicles of Narnia and follows the adventures of Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie. It is a famous and action-packed adventure and I believe that both the Lego Group and LEGO fans could benefit from a Narnia set.
This set would enable you when Peter, Susan, and Lucy Pevensie, being led by the Beavers, are being chased by the evil White Witch in her sleigh. They make a mad dash for the woods where they hide in a small cave to avoid detection. Shortly after, they discover it is not the White Witch but is instead Father Christmas, who gives them gifts to help them in their quest. He gives Peter a sword and shield. To Susan, he gives a bow and a quiver of arrows. He also gives Lucy a dagger and a bottle of healing cordial.
This project contains a cave with a snow-covered tree on top, Father Christmas's sleigh, four reindeer, and five minifigures: Peter, Susan, Lucy, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, and Father Christmas. It also includes several accessories, including the Pevensies' gifts. It is made up of approximately 565 pieces, though that number might be able to be brought down if the design of the cave is simplified.
