The Mega-Fig is a tribute to one of the most iconic minifigures out there, red shirt & blue pants. It is of course inspired by the other mega-figs from LEGO. Even though I like the other mega-figs, but my love for the LEGO is greater than any IP, so an all out LEGO model would instantly have a place in my heart and home :-)
I first build the model to figure out the inner workings of the mega-figs, but it ended up being "Ideas worthy", so here it is. After updates, the figure is ~size 1:6.5. Sub-parts are rebuild individually to be more accurate to the original.
A stand is also added to make the model present itself better and with a plate to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the minifig.
In 2023, it's 45 years since the minifigures hit the market and even though a lot has happened since, the core of the minifigure is still the same. So, let's celebrate the 45th anniversary of the minifigure with the Mega-fig - minifigure tribute.
