This is the droid you are looking for. ;) My Lego Star Wars BB-8 is 9 inches tall (23 cm) and has a swiveling head! It is made up of a 6 inch (15 cm) ball, and a 3 inch (8 cm) head. The model is completely made out of standard bricks, not including the antennae, swivel, and lens. The steps I took to build the ball were layer by layer, starting with a small circle. As the layers moved up, I enlarged the layer's circle until I reached the center, then reduced the size towards the top. The head was the same method cut in half, but a little bit smaller.
