Info
The house is of a 3 floor plan with a small well and cherry blossom as a side build.
The house is placed upon a defensive stone foundation much like the Himeji castle. The 3 floors of the building contains as such:
  • The 1st floor contains the armors and weapons for the samurai, and also a small meeting room for tea and counsiling for the Shogun.
  • The 2nd floor contains a dojo for training, together with the tools and armor for kendo and small area for their kamidana to pray at.
  • The 3rd floor is where a small bed chamber is located and where the Shogun and Midai sleeps.

Inspiration
The building was inspired by Japanese architecture in the 15th-17th centuries under the Sengoku and Edo periods. The main inspirations came from the Himeji castle but also old Japanese mansions from the period. More ancient buildings such as the Kofuku-ji tower in Nara, was also used as an inspiration. But in the end it was my own sketches that decided the layout of the mansion and its grounds.

Why should you support?
The reasons i believe this should be made into a real set, is that there currently is a big lack of ancient historical buildings and themes at Lego in a minifigure scale, which i very much so would enjoy to display.
So if you are into historical buildings and especially Japanese architecture, i hope you would consider supporting this build.
