Portable Steam Engine

Theme: Historical Vehicles
This model represents a portable steam engine, here represented with his chimney folded down, preserved at the museum in Blankenhain Castle in Germany.
The first multi-purpose steam engines were carried to work sites by horses. In 1859 British engineer Thomas Aveling created a Portable Engine which was mounted on wheels and could reach the work site via self-propulsion. Such engines were used to drive agricultural machinery, milling machinery and industrial components.

The real vehicle I tried to reproduce is completely black. I added some grey details to make the model a bit more visible and attractive, and also because gears and connectors are generally grey in Technic sets. Again the model consists on a limited number of bricks - within 100 - and I used 100% available parts.
