Duckworth, Scrooge McDuck, Webbigail "Webby" Vander Quack

Duckworth is Scrooge McDuck's longtime, no-nonsense butler and chauffeur inDuckTales.

Despite having "Duck" in his name, Duckworth is actually an anthropomorphic dog. He worked for Scrooge even before the nephews moved in. He's Scrooge's chauffeur and errand boy on occasion. Duckworth used to be Scrooge's only household servant until Scrooge hired Mrs. Beakley. He also is the servant of the house.

He usually appears as a supporting character. His only starring roles on the show were in the episodes "Duckworth's Revolt" and "Take Me Out of the Ballgame". In these two episodes he shows he's a capable leader and his out of the box thinking comes in handy, whether its helping Doofus hit a baseball or steering an out of control flying saucer.

Duckworth is a jack-of-all-trades in the McDuck mansion, making him an important member of Scrooge's staff. He is happiest when he's helping someone and has no real interest of going out in the world to seek his own fortune.

Scrooge McDuck is the richest duck in the world, having gained his massive wealth from hard work and being "tougher than the toughies and smarter than the smarties and making it square," on the course of his many adventures in finding treasure and through mining and other business endeavors. He's a traveler by nature, journeying all over the world in search of treasure and ways of expanding his many businesses.

Having worked so hard to acquire his wealth, Scrooge loves his money more than anything in the world and seldom spends any more of it than he has to. Still, he values honesty and fair play and doesn't like to be in anyone's debt. Like his nephew Donald, he has a temper, but is essentially a good hearted and well meaning person. It's known that the one thing Scrooge loves far more than his money is his family. Despite being seemingly elderly, Scrooge has been able to keep up with his nephews and allies on their adventures without slowing down with a few rare exceptions. With a grouchy nature, Scrooge is feared by a majority of his own employees, even though, on occasions, his kindness has also been exploited.

Webby is an extremely affectionate, adorable and emotional little duckling and has a great love for animals. She's never without her "Quacky-Patch" doll--a small stitched doll that looks exactly like her and sometimes keeps small tokens like jellybeans and marbles inside of a hole in its stitching. Webby's love for animals is her greatest asset, since she seems to be able to tame even the most exotic creatures including dinosaurs and a Snow Monster. Her only conflict with animals came when she got lost in the Outback--her doll was stolen by a koala and she was chased by warthogs, though she eventually overcame her fear and became friends with those animals as well.
