Construction Crew

This construction crew is ready to work and have fun. This set features eight pieces of construction equipment. They are: a dump truck (247 pieces), an excavator (217 pieces), a bulldozer (148 pieces), a forklift (101 pieces), a road roller (119 pieces), a front loader (119 pieces), a wrecking ball crane (136 pieces), and a skid steer loader (99 pieces) for a grand total of 1,186 pieces. The set also includes eight construction workers, four men and four women.

I built this set because I was inspired by the idea for the dump truck and the other vehicles grew from there. I am submitting this set here on LEGO Ideas because there is no construction set out there that contains an entire crew on a minifigure scale. Usually, it is one piece of equipment and one minifigure. Sometimes there are also giant pieces of equipment made with Technic pieces. However, this set would be a wonderful addition to any LEGO City because it has a whole crew. Plus, it is clear that all of this construction equipment goes together because they share the same color scheme as well as some other design features. This set also has great playability since every vehicle has some kind of movement to it.

Not only would this be a great addition to a LEGO City, but it would also look great on a desk or shelf all by itself. LEGO builders of all ages will have fun building this construction crew - and then building with them. What are you going to build today?
