Inspired by my childhood passion for trains and different cafeteria types I used to spend time in,
may I present to you a railroad cafe! Through this set I wanted to express a cozy atmosphere.
Lego has released many types of buildings but I miss the ones that could inspire us to think
„out of the box” – with this set I wanted to show that everything can have various purposes.
In this example an old train car was transformed into a place for everyone – a café. ;)
About the model:
My Lego railroad café is based on an 8 stud wide train car designed by me. Inside, the minifgirues can find 3 tables, 6 seats and an area for workers which includes a coffee machine, a cookie display & more.
The outside contains a cozy garden area with flowers, a bench and a bike parking spot.
The roof can be easily removed, giving access to the interior of the car. The front pair of doors can be opened and closed while the side cart doors are mounted in the build and not openable.
The cast of minifigures:
I wanted my café to be full of guests so I designed 6 minifigures: a pair of a grandma and a grandpa, a mother with a dauther, a young guy & a barista.

Why would this be a perfect Lego set?
The model itself is great for both adults and children. It’s not too complicated or too big. It can also be a great part of any lego countryside display. By design it is appeling to train fans but town enthusiasts & others as well.

Note: the lego train car fits standard lego rails yet it cannot be connected to any Lego train connector design & the budgies are permanently mounted.
