Princess Mononoke: Iron Town

From Studio Ghibli’s Princess Mononoke (もののけ姫).

Iron Town (タタラ場)is one of the primary settings of Studio Ghibli’s Princess Mononoke (もののけ姫), playing a key role in the events and themes. It depicts the wonders of engineering, and the beauty of human society while raising the question of caring for the beautiful nature that nourishes them.

 

The main building is the Tatara, a building with a traditional Japanese furnace for melting iron inside (complete with a light brick!). On the lower level, there are the living quarters with Tatami.

I have included minifigures for Ashitaka, San, and Lady Eboshi. There is also a Kodama hidden by the tree on the side.

I am also considering building a brick-built Moro the White Wolf, a Yakul, and Shishigami.

 

I believe this is a movie with a long-lasting fan base, with fans all around the world.
