Concept & Design
To celebrate the iconic American house in the 80s through the film "A Christmas Story 1983,"  I designed Ralphie's family home by bringing a new creative style and giving new spaces. We can explore the entire story and beautiful architecture from the 80s from the exterior to the house's interior, even a very classic 1938 Oldsmobile Sedan. There are six characters including Ralphie Parker (the main character), Ralphie's mother, Ralphie's father (the old man), Randy (Ralphie's little brother), Santa Claus, and Black Bart. I designed the house on the storybook.

Level 1:
The basement and open space kitchen are located at the back side of the storybook with a low ceiling. It has stairs that go down the basement and pass to the dining area. I designed a 4 person dining table with flowers, candles, pizza, and turkey for celebrating the holiday. All characters are stored in the front of the storybook with a covered hood.
Level 2:
Outdoor: I have a classic 1938 Oldsmobile Sedan parking along with the house. There are some trees and vase planters surrounding the entry of the house and the snow is covered on the ground.
Indoor: There are so many details we can explore like in the film, such as two couches, a sofa armchair, a fireplace, a radio, a desk, a Christmas tree, a leg lamp placed near the window, a box stored a leg lamp, a rug, the gifts, a little fire truck near the Christmas tree, and BB gun as well as other decorations. There is a staircase from the first floor (Level 2) to the second floor (Level 3).
Level 3:
There is a master bedroom where Ralphie's parents sleep and take a break. Next is the study room for Ralphie and Randy. Basically, it has a hallway going to an old-style toilet. On this floor, it has a ladder to the third floor (Level 4).
Level 4:
It's a roof level where Ralphie and Randy sleep and play areas. It has two single beds and furniture (armchair, drawers, and decor). We will also see his cute bunny pajamas costume. In Particular, they play with brick toys.

What’s your biggest challenge with this model?
The big challenge of this model is I try to design the exterior and furniture layout to match the real house in Cleveland and apply the same color palettes and techniques built. I like the chimney on the sloping roof and how it gets rid of smoke and all the snow covering the whole roof to highlight the winter season.

It would be a great iconic model with LEGO bricks for all eras for the Christmas holiday. I also tried giving a new form in this model that has not been given yet in the future so that everyone (even for many generations) could be more creative and imaginative in their own wonderful Christmas stories and never stop in the future. It's also considered an iconic American comedy film on holiday.

Background:
"A Christmas Story" is a classic American comedy film released in 1983. It was directed by Bob Clark and based on the semi-autobiographical stories of author Jean Shepherd, who also narrates the film. The movie is set in the 1940s and follows young Ralphie Parker, played by Peter Billingsley, as he dreams of receiving a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle for Christmas.

Ralphie's quest for the coveted Range Model air rifle is the central storyline, but the film is also filled with memorable scenes and characters, including Ralphie's father, lovingly referred to as "The Old Man," his mother, his younger brother Randy, and various schoolmates and neighbors.

"A Christmas Story Christmas" is a 2022 American Christmas comedy film directed by Clay Kaytis with a script he co-wrote with Nick Schenk, from an original story co-written by Schenk and Peter Billingsley. In the film, after the Old Man dies, Ralphie takes his family to his childhood home, reuniting with his mother and old friends, while being tasked to deliver a memorable Christmas. A Christmas Story Christmas was released in the United States on November 17, 2022, on HBO Max.
