Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Hello, Ideas creators, supporters, science lovers and all the other lovely people that are reading this.
As of writing this, we are currently at 9,941 supporters on this Periodic Table project. We're only 59 supporters away from achieving support, to reach that esteemed 10,000-supporter goal, and will probably reach it within the next 72 hours. I plan on posting this update at 9,999 supporters. By the time somebody reads this, we'll probably have already hit 10,000 supporters.
I never would have imagined in my wildest dreams that this project would get anywhere close to this amount of support. I can't even fully grasp the reaction this idea got (pun intended). The human brain isn't really able to imagine big numbers, so that 10,000 people came together on this post is just insane to me.
I don't think there are words in any language to describe how thankful I am to all of you. This project is not just mine anymore; it's all of yours as well. While I can't give you a pat on the back unless I'm in the same place as you, you have every right to pat yourself on the back, you genuinely deserve it.
I'm sorry if I couldn't fulfil all of your wishes for changes on this set. Some of them were great ideas! But for now, I kept it as a simple display model. But hey, if there's ever a Periodic Table 2.0 I might get a little more crazy with it.
That just leaves one question:
What's next?
1. For this idea, it's the review phase. While we have reached 10,000 supporters, the journey for this project is not over. The ultimate goal, being approved for production, is still not decided, and let me tell you, there is some tough competition. I don't expect this build to get through, but I sure hope it does (a man can dream, right?). If it gets accepted, I think I'd probably faint or something. If it gets rejected, we'll just return with a newer build, fresh ideas and stronger than ever. Maybe it will be one of the first sets that gets to enjoy a spot in the new "parking lot" and gets accepted later on. But who knows? All that is in the future, and we can't predict what will happen. That is for the Ideas Overlords to decide.
2. For me, I'll continue making the odd project here or there. Some of them science and chemistry realted, some of them not. I have 2.5 currently in the works and one that you can already find on my profile! I'll continue to support other projects in this community as well. Maybe I'll create some official social media channels, but I'm not so sure about that one yet. Definitely keep an eye out. My Ideas adventure isn't over yet.
3. For you, I don't know. You can do whatever you want, and I certainly won't tell you what to do, but I will ask you to do something: Support other ideas and create your own. I've seen how talented this community is, and many ideas deserve your support. On the other hand, I want to see more. Open your box of old bricks and start putting bricks together! Open a 3D building tool like I did with BrickLink Studio and design something. Believe in yourself and your ideas; you can do it! There is no such thing as a bad build; it's just creative in its own way. Show other people the support and more that you've shown me. Keep this community as friendly, alive and motivated as I've seen it by creating something yourself or supporting other people's creations.
Once again, I wanted to thank all of you for all the support and kindness I've experienced. It means the world to me.
Have a beautiful day, a lovely night, remember to drink some water, and stay who you are.
Thank you a lot.
Ein riesen Dankeschön an euch alle.

Thanks for 400 supporters! Time for a little update!
Hello, you lovely people!
Thank you all for your support; it means a lot to me.
In light of reaching 400 supporters and being selected as a staff pick, I decided it was time for a little update to the model.
By popular demand, I added a Minifigure. Only one person would be fitting for this set. The person that you could call the "Father of the Periodic Table" and the Minifigure for this set is:
Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev!
After trying out different combinations of hair and beard pieces, Hagrids hair and beard piece fit the design the best
I guessed the type of suit and color he maybe would've worn from the very few black-and-white pictures that exist of him. You may also recognize his face as the face of Sensei Wu, which I admit was just the first elderly Minifigure head that popped up in my mind. Please tell me what you think of this design and what you would change!
To integrate this Minifigure into the model, I added a little slot to put him on the bottom right of the Periodic Table. With this slot, there comes another tile with his name written on it. I would have put him below the title tile, next to the legend with the extra hydrogen, but his hair kept clipping into the back, making his holder stand out too much when fixed. If you have any ideas on how to improve his placement, or if you find his current placement unsuitable for the set, let me know.
I will update the images accordingly and also add another image of Mendeleev shortly.
Lastly, I wanted to thank you all again for your support and all the kind comments. Please keep the suggestions coming. I unfortunately can't do all of them or decide against some of them (I will always give a reason why, so if you have a solution or disagree, you can absolutely convince me otherwise), but believe me when I say that I read and at least consider every single one of them. Every suggestion helps this model improve. Even if your suggestion doesn't make it into the model, it could still give me ideas on how to improve the build.
I wish you all a great day or relaxing night!
