Astro Bot

This idea is a concept for a set based on Astro Bot, the delightful and universally acclaimed 2024 platform game by Team Asobi. The game is filled with imaginative ideas, quirky characters and references to video game history.

The set proposal features a brick-built model of Astro Bot himself, as well as his trusty Dual Speeder, which allows him to fly from planet to planet searching for bots to rescue. A sleek display stand allows the Dual Speeder to be presented at different angles as though in flight.

A platform is also included to display Astro Bot in action, featuring 2 enemies waiting to challenge him. The wires in the middle of the platform can be used throughout the game to discover new items or paths to take: who knows what these ones could reveal?

Astro Bot's head, arms, legs and cape are all articulated, meaning he can be put into many different poses. Extra tiles are also included so that his expression can be changed. Meanwhile, the Dual Speeder has realistic moving control sticks, plus removable wings and adjustable engine panels, allowing it to more closely resemble a life-size video game controller!

This set would work equally well as a collector's display model or as a toy to be played with. With its themes of playfulness and creativity, and its appeal to fans of all ages, I think the Astro Bot game would be a perfect subject for a LEGO set.
