The Omega Speedmaster Professional is also called the Moonwatch by Omega and is an icon of mechanical watches whose appearance has hardly changed since 1946. The watch was nicknamed the Moonwatch because it was an official piece of equipment for NASA astronauts and was also worn on the moon in this context.

The watch also played a very important role in the Apollo 13 mission. Due to the accident, "Ok, Houston, we've had a problem here," it was necessary to ignite the engines at a precise time and for a precise duration during the necessary swing-by maneuver around the moon. These necessary 14 seconds were stopped by the astronauts with the Speedmaster. This maneuver made it possible to influence the orbit around the moon in such a way that the astronauts ultimately returned safely to earth.

The design represents a display set of the stylized dial of the Moonwatch and is presented in an omega-red display. The dial is removable. On the back is a stylized depiction of the Apollo 13 space capsule on its way back to Earth with an indication of the orbit of the swing-by maneuver around the moon.
