Rain Man is a four time Academy Award winning dramatic comedy film from 1988, directed by Barry Levinson. It boasts some exceptional acting, particularly from Dustin Hoffman who won the Oscar for Best Actor.
This heartwarming road movie is one of my favorites from the '80s.
For this LEGO IDEAS project I designed the four protagonist of the movie: Raymond (Dustin Hoffman), Charlie (Tom Cruise), Susanna (Valeria Golino) and the 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertible.
For the minifigures of Raymond and Charlie, I designed the grey suits which they wore in the memorable casino scene of the film. I also made Raymond's portable television.
The Buick Roadmaster was built in the size of the 8-wide Speed Champions cars and has space for all the 3 minifigures. For the more authentic look I also made some stickers for the car.
