In present cities, we can observe a lot of tall buildings that dominate the skyline. Unfortunately, many of these buildings are often criticized for their unappealing appearance. However, there are still some smaller buildings that exist, which have been preserved over time and are appreciated for their historic and architectural significance. A century ago, most buildings were modest in size, comprising only one or two stories, and they were built with great attention to detail and care. These buildings were not only meant for residential purposes but also served as commercial and community spaces. They often featured intricate architectural designs and ornamental details that reflected the time and culture they were built. These buildings were designed to be functional, but also aesthetically pleasing, offering an inviting and welcoming atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the trend in modern architecture has shifted towards larger and more utilitarian buildings, which serve only as a place for many people to live in. This shift towards larger buildings has led to a loss of individuality in architecture and a decrease in the quality of living spaces. These larger buildings are often seen as a necessary evil, providing much-needed housing in crowded urban areas.

Description of the build
This café is a delightful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located in a small town, it is housed in a two-story building that emanates a sense of comfort and warmth. The café's old-style design adds to its character and creates an inviting atmosphere that feels like home. Inside, customers are welcomed by three cozy wooden tables, each with two seats for people to sit in, and a well-equipped kitchen that promises to deliver very very very delicious meals. A bathroom is also available for the customers.

The first floor of the building features a medium nougat facade with a brick-like texture, created from tiles and SNOT bricks. Meanwhile, the second floor has a sand-green facade that adds a pop of color to the overall design. The entrance and back door of the building are located on the first floor, providing easy access to the café. The second floor features a large window that allows natural light to flood the room, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. Additionally, the balcony on the second floor offers breathtaking views of the town, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. The walls of the café are adorned with paintings that add to the overall aesthetic of the place.
Sitting on a 16x16 plate, this café is a charming little gem that is sure to delight anyone who walks in.

Why I built it
I constructed this project to demonstrate that buildings can be designed to look good and serve their purpose without having to be large. I wanted to showcase that smaller buildings can be just as attractive and functional as larger ones. I believe that it is important to prioritize quality over quantity when it comes to constructing buildings. Nowadays, many buildings are not built with the same level of care and attention to detail as they used to be. This is why I believe that small buildings can be a better choice than large ones, as they often receive more attention and care during the construction process. Overall, I aim to inspire others to consider the benefits of building smaller, yet still thoughtfully designed structures.
