This project consists in a small reproduction of the first 4-wheel motorized car in history, made in 1886 by the German engineer Gottlieb Daimler.

For this set I was inspired by the "Hobby Sets" released by Lego in the Seventies. The build though is scaled in order to be compatible with a minifig-sized playset. That is why the set is very simple and is thought to be a cheap and popular one.

The colours have been chosen according to the original vehicle's materials (wood and metal) and to the commercially available Lego parts. The model anyway would look better with some a couple of parts, such as the steer or the trumpets.

My dream is that this model might become part of a new Lego theme about mini collectable antique or vintage vehicles.
