Carceri d'Invenzione (Imaginary Prisons) was a series of 16 etchings made by Giovanni Battista Piranesi depicting enormous subterranean vaults with stairs and machinery. The first 14 etchings were published in 1750 and a second edition with two more etchings and reworked prints. The artwork has served for inspiration for several other works in other media, such as Lord of the Rings or even Marvel movies.

My project is a recreation of the third etching, The Round Tower. I have adapted as faithfully as I could the original source, as well as adding some parts behind the walls. It has been really fun to make and I think it would also be a fun build as a Lego Set.
