Hi again! I thought it was about time that I made a wild west set, and this is what I came up with. I have made similar builds in the past, but this one is my favorite. I hope that you enjoy it!
The railroad, by far, took the most time to design. I spent hours trying to get the cart to roll along the track and not derail, but it still does most of the time 😠. Ideally, I would have used the official railroad pieces, but I don't have any. So it is what it is. The rest of the model was a lot more easy and enjoyable to make. I built the rock wall out of different colored layers to represent layers of sediment. As seen in the pictures above, I made a trap door above ground so that the cowboy can discover the forgotten mine shaft below. I also thought that putting the two cacti, a cow skull, and the parched tree (holding a perched vulture) on the top of the model would give it a classic western touch.
