Detachable Cockpit
Space is a very dangerous place, and as my dad always says, safety comes first. You won't want your pilot to be left floating helplessly through space in case of an emergency. The spaceship can suffer damage from an asteroide the balsters couldn't pulverize, or some space garbagge that hit the fusselage, or maybe even some form of alien life (?). Its better to be prepared, so the upgraded versión of the carrier spaceship features a detachable cockpit tha can travel autonomously or combine with the glider for a safe and swift voyage back home.
