Enter the magical world of Mr.Benn in this LEGO Ideas project.

What is this idea all about, then?
In the world-famous books and television series, Mr. Benn goes on many exciting adventures. Each story begins with Mr. Benn leaving his house at 52 Festive Road, London, to visit a fancy-dress shop, where the kindly shopkeeper encourages him to try on a particular outfit. He leaves the shop through a magic door at the back of the dressing room and enters a magical world appropriate to his costume. After his adventure, the shopkeeper reappears to lead him back to the shop, and the story comes to an end.

About this Build
This project includes Mr. Benn’s house at 52 Festive Road and the special shop which acts as the starting point for his many adventures.
The row of Victorian terraces of Festive Road feature many details including children playing, neighbours chatting, opening front doors, bay windows, ornate porches and decorative roof tiles.

Play Functions
The shop contains 3 special play functions:

★ Open the front of the shop up to reveal a detailed interior filled with all manner of dressing up costumes inspired by the adventures of Mr. Benn.

★ Relive the famous ‘as if by magic, the Shopkeeper appeared’ moment by rotating a special wall section to reveal the Shopkeeper!

★ The dressing room is fully functional, so you can place a plain clothes and a dressed up Mr. Benn minifigure in the special mechanism, rotate the lever and when you open the door to the dressing room, Mr. Benn has magically changed clothes! Choose from one of 4 different dressing up options, from the Red Knight and Chef to the Wizard and out-of-this-world Astronaut.
