They may not be traditionally considered as pretty as flowers or other plants, but mushrooms can be quite pretty and impressive looking. I was inspired by several real world glowing mushroom species, but took a little artistic license to showcase those glow in the dark, and satin Lego colors. I put two of them in pots like their botanical cousins, and two in a more natural setting, growing on a mossy rock and a fallen sapling. I also included another often overlooked part of nature, a cute little snail. and yes the snail also has glow in the dark elements to match the mushrooms he is strolling through.
While not scientifically botanical, I could easily see this set side by side with some of those sets. This set would also look great by itself on your desk, a windowsill, or under a black light. And at 300 pieces this set won't break the bank either. So if you are more into the "underbelly" of nature, where the sun is not so bright, and you have to provide your own light, then give this project a follow.
