Side by side
Time to reveal, the almost completed Venice model besides the Amsterdam model.
A couple more interior detail pics
Hey guys, here's some more interior pics. I had to break some walls to show them. Of course the modular exists from stackable floors.
The Venice build is getting there, I'm now working on the office of the architect. It's kinda similar to the ship designer, yet an architect seemed more an Italian thing than any other profession. The next update will be of the two modulars together. I'm still having a hard time starting on Brugge, yet I know what I want.
Thanks for your votes!
The Venice build is almost done. On to Brugge
Venice is almost done, I want to make the facade on the building on the left perfect. The stores are done, an awesome Ferrari store (Lego and Ferrari have always been a good combination) and a clothing store. The restaurant is nearly done. Now I'm on to Brugge the 3rd most famous city in the world for it's canals. I'm going to try to do an existing model build now, inspired on the picture below. What I'm I going to do with the massive willow? Brugge is a medievel city, I fancy a trip back in time.
The Venice build
Today I made a lot of headway with the Venice build. The bridge in that set is the famous Rialto bridge, fitted to the same bridge size as the Amsterdam bridge. I made one typical Venice house featuring te medditeranian arch over the balconies, using the old flower part in white as the main texture. After that I made a small Gondola (which is nice and low). After that I made a pizza/icecream place, because I want to add things that Italy is famous for. Just like the Amsterdam set. You can see the pizza oven in the rear. Notice the letter Ice, a good modular tradition is to add lego writing in the set or numbers. The two shops in the other two buildings will most likely be a fashion store, which Italy is famous for and maybe something with a ferrari or other Italian car brand. Anything you would like to see in this set?
