Stanford University is an internationally-renowned research institution with a beautiful, iconic campus in northern California. One of the most well-known landmarks at Stanford is Hoover Tower, built in 1941 to commemorate the university's 50th anniversary. At 285 feet, it dominates the horizon for miles and serves as a landmark representing an acclaimed university known for research, teaching, and scholarship.
