Welcome to this cosy Swedish summer cottage.
Here you will find everything you need for a nice vacation: a cosy couch to relax and read a book in front of a small fire place during a rainy day, a small kitchenette to prepare sweet treats, a bathroom with a hot water shower, and an open first floor with a spacious bed for humans and also one for the cat. It is the perfect spot, if you need a quiet and peaceful place to e.g., finish your bestseller.
On a sunny midsommar day you may enjoy fika (Swedish term for a coffee break) on the porch or make "bread on a stick" at the bonfire. A small shed with gardening tools will help to keep you busy and distracted. The outside area also comes with a Swedish flag pole (which could easily be changed into a Danish flag if you fancy) and a birch tree with tweeting birds to wake you up in the morning.
The cottage is characterised by the traditional red coloured wooden panels, but got a modern touch through the huge glass door at the porch, solar panels for improved environmental friendliness, and a rainwater harvesting system. The cottage is so cosy, that random visitors (a.k.a. in-laws) might show up, but luckily the door bell is broken. ;)
Inspiration: Not being Swedish, but having spent some time in that beautiful country, and currently living on a different continent, the yearning for a quiet and paeceful home in a lush green surrounding is growing with everyday.
