For the Birds

As we are closing in on 500 supporters (woot! thank you All for your support!), I wanted to share an alternate presentation option for the model.

This new version features a different scene taken from the short movie "For the Birds", the big goofy bird lands in the middle of the wire and drags everyone down towards the ground with his weight.

In addition to being a very funny scene (the small birds are NOT happy!), this version also has the advantage of offering a different stability to the overall model. The gravity center is lower and there is less strain on the elements because the bottom of the "wire" now touches the ground, offering greater support for the weight distribution.

In terms of parts count, it is very similar to the original version - standing just over 1000 elements.

The "wire" is now built using technic pieces instead of flex tubes - this change slightly increases the overall elements count, but the big bird is now in a sitting position, so dropping its legs offsets the parts count difference.
