Macrocheira kaempferi, the Japanese Spider Crab is huge, I don't really know much about it but a friend asked me to design one for them after seeing my prawns (which are also on Ideas and you should go and support them too).
The design came together pretty quickly and it was well received so I thought I would post it here.
The model contains 203 pieces, including the stand. The legs and claws are fully poseable, the eyes move up and down and the mandibles can move up and down and side to side.
As with the prawns, I believe this model would make a great set as a display piece or desk toy.
