The Truman Show

The Truman Show is a 1998 film directed by Peter Weir and starring Jim Carrey in his first dramatic role.

It tells the story of an ordinary man whose life is broadcast live on television without him knowing it. Truman is a happy guy who lives in a small coastal community, is married and works at an insurance company.

In this city, everyone around him is an actor playing a role, but he is not aware of it. Until one day he realizes that strange things are happening around him. A spotlight falls from the sky; On the street he believes he sees his missing father or the behavior of the citizens.

The diorama represents a very important moment in the film, at this point I suppose that many people have already seen the film, but in order not to give spoilers I will say that it is a very important moment for Truman and for the viewer.

The model includes elements from the film such as the sailboat with which he is so afraid to sail and a back part of the design where you can see a studio control area and there, we find the ring with the hidden camera, the spotlight under repair that emulates Canis Majoris, the control of clouds or the switches of the electrical grid.

And as Truman says:

“Good morning!.. and in case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night.”

Thank you very much.
