The first person to travel to space did so in April of 1961. For the past 57 years, this privilege has been reserved for a select few. Boeing is working on changing that with the CST-100 Starliner, the first vehicle to enable space tourism. Despite the high cost, Starliner will take tourists aboard the International Space Station (ISS). This LEGO model is designed as a tribute to this remarkable feat, at a cost point that is manageable for the rest of us.

This 970 piece model, created using Lego Digital Designer (LDD), consists of the CST-100 Starliner, 5 Minifigures, and a stand. The CST-100 Starliner is detachable from the stand and has a fully-accessible cabin. Although the CST-100 Starliner can fit 7 people, we have found information that shows another configuration of 5 people with additional payload. For this particular model, we have chosen the 5 seat configuration, as shown when the cabin opens. Finally, when opened, a control panel is clearly visible.
