It's a deep-dive submersible design to reach the bottom of Challenger Deep, the deepest-known point on Earth.
It was bulid in Australia by an engineering company for the movie (Deepsea Challenge) directed by James Cameron, who piloted the submarine in the movie.
It's 7.3 long and includes scientific sampling equipment and high-definition cameras. It's accompanied by a scientific research rover with lights and cameras too.
It was an expedition in partenrship with National Geographic.
This submarine is unique beacause it was design to resist the highest pressure in the world
