With the recent rise in Blacktron activity in the sector, M-Tron need to be on their guard. This heavy fighter was developed to escort freight and transport ships. It has a crew of two, pilot and gunner. The cockpit section is attached with magnets and can act as an escape pod and support fighter. When it detaches the gunner can fly the main ship from the gun pod on the back. The gun pod is mounted on a turntable and two hinges for maximum range of motion in combat (see photo 8). This pod also has self contained life support in case it is separated from the rest of the ship.
This ship also features retractable landing gear.
