Solar System 2.0

This is the 2.0 of the solar system. It contains all the planets (including the dwarf planet Pluto), the sun and a small asteroid belt. Mercury, Venus, Earth with moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. All the planets can orbit around the sun. The planets are not exact scale.

I also thought you could have some information panels with a picture and some information about the planets:

Mercury:

Mercury is the smallest planet and the closest to the sun of our eight planets. Mercury is one of the four stone planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars). It has a diameter of 4879 kilometers at the equator.

Venus:

Venus is the third smallest planet and second closest to the sun. Venus and Uranus are the only planets who orbite around the sun the oppisite direction than the other planets. One year at Venus is about 225 days, but one day at Venus is 243 earth days.

Earth:

Our Earth is the third closest planet to the sun and the biggest of the stone planets. We call it earth but in Latin it`s name is Tellus. Our planet was formed 4.54 billion years ago. 71% of the Earths surface is covered by water.

Mars:

Mars is the fourth closest planet to the sun and the second smallest in the solar system. Mars has a thin atmosphere consisting mostly carbon dioxide. Mars is often called `the red planet`.

Jupiter:

Jupiter is the fifth closest planet to the sun and the biggest of all the planets in the solar system. Jupiter is one of the four gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune). Jupiter has 68 confirmed moons and the biggest of them is Ganymedes.

Saturn:

Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and the second largest planet in the solar system. Saturn has rings that orbit around the planet. Saturn has 160 natural satellites (moons) of which 57 named. The biggest one is called Titan.

Uranus:

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun and the third largest planet in our solar system. It has a diameter of 50 000 kilometers.

Neptune:

Neptune is the last of our eight planets and the fourth largest. The distance between earth and Neptune is about 4,4 billion kilometers.

Pluto:

2006 Pluto got downgraded from a planet to a dwarf planet because it do not qualify in size to be a planet. Pluto was downgraded because they find the Kuiper belt where there were hundreds of `planets` that were the same size as Pluto and the scientists did not wanna name them all because they thought it would be to hard for children and adults to memorize them all.
