Have you ever wondered how the great literary masters got their ideas? I’ll let you in on a secret… it’s the ink. For the first time ever, and thanks to LEGO magic, we get to look inside the inkwell to see what actually happens!
As we dive into the inkwell, we are introduced to the secret world of ink-producing cephalopods:
- Small, squid-like ‘Inklings’ are dedicated to producing ideas-infused ink
- The larger ‘Thinkling’ weaves the ideas into magical tales that are channeled through the quill and released into the world
- The cloud pieces represent the ‘ink storm’ (in lieu of brainstorm) within the inkwell as ideas are generated
In the real world, the Inkwell can also serve as a secret storage compartment :) Please let me know in the comments if you prefer this set with something else in the inkwell. I went back and forth on what, if anything, to put inside!
I originally intended to submit this to the Lego House challenge under the “Secret Life of” theme. Unfortunately, it can’t be built yet due to some missing color combinations needed for the glass inkwell.
