Welcome to Amsterdam and the new concept of modular! It has a canal running through the middle, with a bridge going across it. You can close it up to fit in your modular street so your minifigures can continue down the street and across the bridge. You can also open it fully by removing the bridge section, so it fits perfectly on your shelf as a display model.
To make the set work, I had to play with scale, the front has about 6 stories to look like microscale size. Yet the buildings only have 3 stories inside to work with minifigure scale. It of course works perfectly with the Venice version, you can line them up besides each other or behind each other to extend the canal.
This version has an extra game: by pushing the wooden cable bars, the awnings and other items, you push mice out on the other side from behind the green doors. You win the game if you catch the mice.
This set features a cheese store, a flower stand, a bike repair shop, a boat designer, a DJ and a canal boat. There is also a cheese factory above the cheese store.
The set is built with 2975 pieces.
