With the incredible new era in space flight that is upon us, what better way to mark Space X's achievements by building a set of the first prototype to take flight and successfully perform the highly improbable belly flop landing manoeuvre - even if it didn't completely stick the landing.

This Starship SN8 is built from a combination of Technic & regular Lego bricks and measures ~50cm high with a wingspan of ~20cm and a depth of ~8cm. The set features 120º rotatable nose & tail wing flaps and a detailed engine bay including the incredible triple raptor engine set up (one of which would feature a "42" sticker)

This set is intentionally designed in a way that mimics the way space X build their Starship prototypes by constructing Lego Technic O rings that then connect together to form the chassis. Then attaching the nose cone, engine bay and wing flaps.

With SN9 to follow shortly due to Space X's incredibly fast construction methods, I am sure we will see a version of Starship complete the unique belly flop landing manoeuvre very soon, but this set is intended to remind everyone that it is not only our successes that define us, but also our failures.
