A Lego Chambered Nautilus

The chambered nautilus (scientific name Nautilus pompelius) is the largest type of nautilus at around a 1 foot diameter shell. Unlike most cephalopods, they have more than 8- 10 appendages: they have 80- 100 of what's called cirri (literally tentacles in Latin). The chambered nautilus is what is known as a living fossil, meaning it has been around since prehistoric times, and has barely evolved since then.

In this set I have made a life sized model of a Nautilus pompilius, with posable cirri and a  removable display stand. It is a very accurate and intricate model, especially the shell. I think this would make a great set because of the aforementioned accuracy, although I just built it for.
