The California Academy of Sciences is a natural history museum in San Francisco (California-USA) that is among the largest museums of natural history in the world.
The Academy was founded in 1853. After a series of earthquakes that damaged the previous structures the new venue was transferred in 2008 to the current building designed by Renzo Piano.
The California Academy of Sciences is California's oldest operating museum and is a research institution for the natural sciences.
