Nature is beautiful. We all want to see the best of the world's flora and fauna, yet we often ignore the beauty found around our own gardens. This set depicts a large butterfly approaching a flower to pollinate it; it is attached to the flower with a Technic support. Dark orange elements are used to create the iconic wing patterns and whips and appendages are used for its antennae, mouth and limbs.
The flower that it approaches uses orange windscreens to create shaped petals, with a bright light orange beehive piece to create the pollen-rich centre. The flower sits securely in a pot (connected by both bricks and Technic axles), next to which is a black 8 x 16 tile with a picture of the butterfly along with its English name and Latin name. What better way to celebrate local nature in temperate regions?
