This Mobile-Dino-Based-Siege-Engine is the headquarters of a clan of dino-rider orcs.
It's a transport, a home, and a siege engine. I designed it as a mobile and autonomous place to live anf fight.
"This mobile siege-engine will be a powerful adversary for the greatest castles and the mightiest knights !"
I wanted to come up with a LEGO set that can be a collector's item but also robust enough to be fully functional whit lots of playabilities.
The set contains many features and details:
Main platform :
- The six cannons rotate and tilt.
- The forge is lit by a light brick.
- Turning the rudder pulls the reins to give direction to the dinosaur.
- A ladder can be unfolded to reach the main platform from the ground.
- A raptors nest is attached to the strap.
- Many supplies are fixed on the platform (tanks, food, storage, trunks, rocks... ).
Upper platform :
- The upper platform rotates 360°.
- The winch is adjustable in inclination and rope length.
- A platform can be hung on it to reach the ground and all the platforms.
- Two shooting stations to send ropes with grappling hooks for assaults.
- Small rest hut.
- A command post.
Dinosaur :
- The legs have a suspension system that allows them to adapt to the terrain and the weight carried.
- The neck tilts.
- The head moves in all directions.
- The mouth opens
- The tail is orientable.
The set is 51 cm (20 inch) high and 54 cm (21 inch) long.
A weight of 3.3 kg (6.6 lbs) for about 3000 pieces.
